TurboLinux Wizpy on sale in June!

The TurboLinux Wizpy, a multimedia media player that contains a PC-bootable version of the
Linux operating system, will go on sale worldwide in June.

TurboLinux Inc. designed the device based on its own distribution of Linux and will target the same market overseas as it has done in Japan: early adopters who are curious about using Linux but either don't want to or can't install the operating system.

The Wizpy allows users to carry a complete Linux desktop in their pocket. When plugged into a PC's USB port the user is given the opportunity to boot-up the Linux system that resides in the Wizpy's memory. User settings, passwords and bookmarks can be stored inside the Wizpy, with the desktop set up to the user's preference so that no matter what PC is used to host the Wizpy, the user gets their familiar desktop.

Hp Pavillion HDX sets new standards for Gaming lappy

hp-pavilion-hdx.jpg

Buying a computer is definitely not an impulse purchase, and when it comes to the issue of notebooks, you definitely have a fairly large amount of selections to choose from. HP has bought the Voodoo PC outfit last year, and you can finally see the results of their acquisition which ought to be released sometime later this year in the form of the HP Pavilion HDX gaming and entertainment notebook. You can definitely tell that the Pavilion HDX is a true blue gaming machine from first glance since no sane business-class notebook will come with a 20″ display in the first place.

There is no word on the exact details of the Pavilion HDX’s innards, but chances are it will come with Intel’s Santa Rosa-based line of Core 2 Duo processors that have a maximum speed of 2.4GHz. As with any self-respecting gaming notebook, the Pavilion HDX is tipped to come with NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce Go 8000-series graphics processing unit. Additional entertainment options can be purchased separately, and these include a webcam and an HD DVD drive with HDMI input.

Nintedo Wii Outsells SOny PS3

Yesterday, the NPD Group released video game hardware sales data for April. Nintendo’s Wii and DS consoles were again the big winners, as both platforms dominated all competitors. This marks the 4th month in a row that Nintendo has nabbed the top spots with its respective systems on the hardware sales charts.

The Nintendo DS was the overall best-selling system of April with approximately 471,000 units sold — more than twice that of the Sony PSP, which only managed to sell 182,000 units.

Despite being in limited supply, the Nintendo Wii was the best-selling console for the month. More than 360,000 new consumers purchased Nintendo’s home console in April. The second best-selling home system was the Sony PlayStation 2 with 193,000 units sold. Microsoft’s Xbox 360 managed 174,000 units sold and Sony convinced only 82,000 people to purchase a PlayStation 3 for the month, lower than all analyst estimates.

Nintendo was also the #1 software publisher for the month, releasing the top 4 best-selling games — Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl for DS, and Super Paper Mario and Wii Play for Wii. The Pokemon titles sold a combined 1.7 million games in about a week.

According to VG Chartz, the Nintendo Wii has sold 2.5m consoles in Japan, 2.8m in the US and 1.79m in the rest of the world since its official launch late last year.

WoW Madness!!!

A Horde conversation overheard...

"Yeah , Alliance has more goodlooking females .. Dunno about Dwarfs though ...
""Why not ?"
"I don't know , I never liked women with beards I guess."
------
Q: Why do gnome males laugh when running through Elwynn Forrest?

A: The grass tickles their balls.
